April 2026 — Acclaimed British singer-songwriter and guitarist Jack Broadbent returns with his highly anticipated new album, Orchids, set for release on May 1st. Known for his raw, emotive performances and masterful slide technique, Broadbent’s latest work marks a powerful evolution in both sound and storytelling.

Recorded at the renowned Abbey Road Studios in London, Orchids presents 11 new songs that reveal a deeper, more intimate side of Broadbent’s artistry. Blending his signature blues roots with elements of folk, soul, and indie textures, the album explores themes of love, loss, and family through a collection that feels both personal and expansive.

Pre-release, Orchids has already garnered significant attention, contributing to Broadbent being awarded the 2025 Boisdale Jazz/Blues Artist of the Year Award, presented by Jools Holland.

In addition to his signature slide guitar and unmistakable grit, the album introduces a new dimension to Broadbent’s musicianship, featuring beautifully crafted piano pieces—including two songs marking his debut on the instrument. Produced by Matt Arthur, Orchids is a delicately captured body of work, revealing a more sensitive and exposed side of the artist than ever before.

The recording process moved between Abbey Road Studios and the comfort of Broadbent’s childhood home, adding a deeply personal layer to the album. This intimacy is further enriched by the inclusion of his father, Mick Broadbent, on bass guitar.

“These songs come from the fragile, beautiful parts of life—the bits that stay with you. It’s personal, but it’s not just mine. My heart’s in this record.”

To celebrate the release, Broadbent will embark on a UK tour beginning May 7 at the Engine Shed in his hometown of Lincoln, bringing his magnetic live presence to audiences across the country. Renowned for his busking roots and captivating stage performances, he continues to forge a genuine connection with fans through every note.

With Orchids, Jack Broadbent expands his musical horizons while deepening his emotional resonance, delivering a body of work that is both deeply intimate and poignantly alive.
